We have a full time team of pump mechanics in our Pump Shop with considerable experience with all types of pumps, mounting, and drive systems. We offer several options for stainless steel pump bases ranging from simple rolled-edge baseplates to zero-recess designs.

Homogenizer Rebuild and Repair
Gaulin Homogenizers have been a part of our core business for over 25 years. As an authorized distributor and service center for the APV Homogenizer Group (now part of SPX Flow Technologies), we can provide assistance in specifying a new Gaulin homogenizer or help diagnose problems with existing installations. Our homogenizer rebuild shop has been called the best in the business and can assist you with homogenization issues - both mechanical and process related.
Homogenizer Field Maintenance and Service
Our Homogenizer shop has a full time crew of professional homogenizer mechanics who know Gaulin homogenizers inside and out. They have decades of combined experience and can often help diagnose intricate problems over the phone. Field service is available for Gaulin homogenizers ranging from simple inspections to complete rebuilds.
In-house Fabrications
Our Fabrication Shop has been building quality skidded systems for decades as part of our role as an integrator of new equipment purchases. Recently, we've had our customers turning to us to package together systems of their own design simply because they like the quality of our work.
While we are not a sanitary fittings manufacturer, we can combine, weld, and machine fittings from various sources to create custom combinations. We offer complete services to create custom piping assemblies, adapters, custom machined parts, and other stainless steel assemblies. Any one of our engineers or shop personnel can help you figure out the best way to economically construct custom devices. If custom work beyond our shop capabilities are required, we have long standing relationships with fittings manufacturers who are willing to take on custom work. Let us know how we can help.

The Right Experience
At the beginning, the primary purpose of our shop was solely to support our Used Equipment business. As the company grew, projects involving new equipment began to dominate the schedule. We soon discovered that the experience our personnel had gained working on older equipment proved invaluable when dealing with new. Seeing what had gone wrong with past systems helps us better design and construct newer ones.
Shop Services
Our versatile shop is one of the industry's best kept secrets. We perform quality work at rather reasonable rates. Our staff deals with a very wide range of applications with the ability to meet exacting specification from CAD generated drawings or work off a 'back of an envelope' sketch. It all depends on the needs of the customer.
Machine Shop
Dairy Engineering has full-time machinists who work on sanitary, stainless steel equipment on a daily basis. In addition to helping to repair used equipment, our machinists can also perform custom machining of stainless steel based on your AutoCad or Solidworks drawings.
Sanitary Tank Inspection including Confined Space Entry
Due to our business in used tanks, our tank shop crew has extensive experience diagnosing and repairing many issues that can develop in food grade storage tanks. From agitator rebuilds, to clean up and repolishing of damaged surfaces, to repair of heat transfer surfaces, our crew deals with nearly all aspects of storage vessel refurbishment. They also perform field repair on tanks and silos throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Dairy Engineering Company is first and foremost a full-service stocking distributor for many trusted manufacturers of sanitary processing equipment. We have always taken our role in distribution seriously and we strive to keep parts in stock to keep your business running. This goal evolved from a basic philosophy of our founder.
As a former head of production and maintenance, our founder discovered that many sanitary suppliers were lacking in their ability to ship parts and equipment on an emergency basis. He decided then that one of the keys to a successful business is having what people need, when they need it. We consider our stock of equipment to be impressive and we hope you do, as well. Our parts inventories often rival or exceed those of the factories. We keep parts for obsolete pumps and valves with the idea that "someday, somebody will need it". Nobody can have everything, but we like to think we are about as close as anybody has come in the industry.
Stainless Steel Fabrication and Repair
Our experienced team of machinists and welders have the ability to modify and repair stainless steel, sanitary process equipment to ensure our customer’s process is optimized and functional. Whether we are adapting and repairing an existing piece of used equipment (ex: sanitary storage vessels/heat transfer units), or fabricating a custom process skid from scratch (ex: PMO grade UHT/HTST pasteurization skid), our team will collaborate with you to find a design to match your existing process and applications.
Field Work (Sanitary Welding, Piping Installations, Food Machinery Repair)
In the Rocky Mountain region, our welders often operate in the field. Our experienced teams conduct piping installation and sanitary welding on location, and work on machinery repairs on site. Our tank shop crew has extensive experience diagnosing and repairing many issues that can develop in food grade storage tanks. From agitator rebuilds, re-polishing damaged surfaces, confined space repairs, repairing heat transfer surfaces & re-calibrating of controls instrumentation. Our crew deals with nearly all aspects of storage vessel refurbishment. Our teams are dedicated & able to come directly to you to take care of any piping and welding necessary to fit any tank or machine seamlessly in your facility.
New and Used Spare Parts including Obsolete Parts
Our extensive stock of used equipment has allowed us to accumulate a wide variety of both new and used spare parts, for equipment that has been since discontinued by the manufacturer. We try to maintain a supply of such parts so we are able to help service customers’ machinery, no matter if it’s the latest model or an older model, where spare parts are hard to come by. This provides us an opportunity to offer our customers options that are meant to best serve their unique process needs.
